Harpinder Brar grew up in Moga, Punjab, with two younger brothers. Her mother was a stay-at-home mom. Her father worked a government job.

“I grew up in a simple home,” she says. “My parents worked hard. We learned early that nothing comes easy.”

As a teenager, she loved fashion. After high school, she took a few courses related to it. She also enjoyed watching TV shows and movies.

“I always liked observing people,” she explains. “Even in movies, I would watch how characters handled problems.”

That habit of observing and learning would later shape how she approached business.
